Well...Here is our recent family picture's. I know its been 18 months since my last post...lol. What can I say life's been busy. Joshua Bowen Wassom is the newest member to our family and we all just can't get enough of him. I love that our family is growing and I'm so thankful that they are all healthy and happy.... I'm also so grateful for supportive friends and for Jason's family, It's such a relief when you have the help you need when a new baby come's into your life.

Jason, is doing awesome, he is loving the Fire Department and we are very grateful for his position.

Ethan, is going into kindergarten again this year to give him a head start for the future and he is so excited...He loves his teacher.

Noah, is growing ways to fast...But he is still not potty trained...AHHH. Hopefully soon.

Joshua is starting to scoot around the house with his knee's, so he is just around the corner from crawling. I can't believe how FAST they Grow!!!

And as for me...My business is doing awesome, we are going full force with advertising this coming year and I'm also adding eyelash extensions to the menu and I'm so excited for them.... I LOVE, LOVE mine:)

Disneyland Was so much fun. Our time share was awesome, the kids had a blast and we ran the Disneyland 5K and Half Marathon. I think we will be making this a yearly tradition.

5K RUN on PIONEER DAY!!!

OKAY I have so much to talk about but I'm going to have to do one post at a time!!!

THIS WAS A FUN FUN FUN RUN!!!

Jason and I ran the pioneer day 5K run on July 24Th, We ran in pioneer costume, It was such a blast we were of course trying to win the GRAND prize....and WE did!!! We WON a spot in one of the most difficult Marathons to get into....ST. GEORGE Marathon. So yes, now I'm training for a marathon on top of all the other things I have going. It will be a blast though and I can't wait to check it off my goal list:)

We had a little Birthday party for Noah, BBQ and Cake, water fun and Fireworks for our little yankee doodle~

We just love our little Noah, he has been such a little bundle of joy in our lives. He is growing so fast as kids do, I love seeing him experience new things, but I do want to just hold on to these moment because it seems like they disappear in a blink of an eye. Noah has brought so much to our family and I just love his sweet little spirit! Happy Birthday my sweet baby!

My sister has talked me into starting another little mini business out of my home. She and some other friends and family members started asking me to cook and bake meals for them, not for any special occasion or anything but just because.

My sister really pushed for this because she loves everything I make and she really wanted me to cook for her, and she said it's like having a personal chef without the high price. So here I am trying to put my love for cooking and baking to the test...Trying to make the world a better place one cookie at a time..lol.

I can't even express how excited I am!!! It looks like Ethan is almost fully potty trained, this is an exciting time for mommy. He's only had two accidents in four days and I sent him to school yesterday in big boy undies and NO accidents! I've been working on potty training Ethan since he was 18 months old and I was wondering if he was ever going to get it. lol! We are all so proud of him way to go little chief, you're so awesome.

There is an article about me in the Daily herald news paper (I added it below), how exciting is that. I sent in a salad recipe that I came up with and its in the article. I also came up with a cream pesto sauce for the salad that's not in the recipe below. They are both really good but I think I like the cream pesto more let me know if you want the dressing recipe. It was really exciting to see my name in the paper!!!

Always try new things

Annette Wassom, of Provo, feels cooking and baking are a "labor of love." "I truly believe there is no greater way to show your love than by making yummy food for those you care about," said the 27-year-old homemaker, hairstylist and mother of two young sons.
To her credit, Annette cooks healthy food. "I'm a big believer that you are what you eat, and at the end of the day I think we can feel the power in healthy food and what we put in our bodies," she says. "I love coming up with healthy recipes."
She says nutritious food can still be satisfying and great tasting.
Her husband, Jason, is her best critic and loves everything she makes. Ethan, age 3, follows Mom around the kitchen hoping to get a chance to taste test or lick the bowl.
Annette is so comfortable in the kitchen that she loves to compete in cooking and baking contests. She's entered five dessert recipes recently and hopes to hear by September if any of them win her cash, appliances or a paid vacation. Annette finds various contests on the Internet or in food magazines.
"Try new things," is her advice to keep meals interesting. "Add one new thing at a time to a recipe you like. Make a list of foods you enjoy together, like peanut butter and chocolate or herbs and veggies such as mint leaves and peas." When experimenting, Annette is not above shopping at the dollar store for her ingredients to save on the grocery bill.
"I love to entertain, spend time with my kids and work on my health," says Annette. She is training for several 5K, 10K and half-marathon events.
Annette put the following pasta salad together for her son's birthday party last year. It can be served hot or cold and leftovers are wonderful, she says. To save time, Annette buys pre-made pesto sauce and cooks the chicken the night before. "You can make it in minutes that way," she says.
"It's so easy, but it looks really fancy. I always get a lot of compliments on this salad."

Pesto Tortellini Salad (cold)
Serves 6-8
• 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
• 2 tablespoons lemon pepper
• 2 packages fresh or frozen cheese tortellini (colored)
• 1 package fresh pesto sauce
• 11/2 cups Kraft Zesty Italian Salad Dressing
• 2 cups fresh spinach leaves
• 1 cup cherry tomatoes, optional
• 1 cup black olives
• 1 cup pine nuts
• juice of 1 lemon
¬
Cut chicken into strips and season with lemon pepper and cook thoroughly in skillet. Cool. Cook tortellini, rinse in cold water. Drain well. Combine pesto, dressing and lemon juice. Whisk to blend. Add other ingredients and mix well. Chill to taste.

Mother's Day!!!

Oh how grateful I am for mothers! I am so grateful for my mother, she is such an inspiration to me.
As a young girl I would watch my mother take care of us kids and see the dedication and love behind her work and all her daily sacrifices she made, but its only now that I'm older and a mother my self that I can truly appreciated my mother and her daily struggles she had with her kids. She has been a wonderful example to me and always pointing me in the ways of righteousness.

We had a Mother's Day dinner at our house and it was good to get the family together and celebrate our mother!

To be a mother has been such a wonderful privilege, I thank God for entrusting me with my two sweet spirited boys. I am thankful for my mother and all that she has inspired me to be!

We took family pictures on Thursday, Noah just turned 10 months old and he hasn't had pictures taken since he was three months old so I have been feeling like a bad mommy. We spent 3 1/2 hours taking pictures so I hope that makes up for it. I thought it was tough trying to get one child to sit and smile for the camera but two kids is definitely an experience. I wouldn't be surprised if we weren't hilarious to watch..lol.

This is a quick picture Jason was able to snap with his phone, I'll get they real pictures up once we get them. It was a beautiful day and I love seeing my boys in action in front of the camera they are so much fun...I'm a really lucky mom!

Jason and Noah went to Texas for 4 days. It was the first time I had been away from Noah for such a long period of time, it was pretty stressful to let him go at first, but it gave Ethan and I a chance to have so much time together and we really had a blast. It was so much fun being able to focus all of my attention on him and I know it was so good for Jason and Noah to spend all that time together too. They got back yesterday and it is so nice to have them home safe and sound.

The "LOVE DARE" a path to UNCONDITIONAL LOVE!

Last night I was blown away by the experience I had, It started off as just another typical day, Jason was home though and we spent some good time together which was lovely. We had planned to have Family Home Evening last night as we have been making sure to do for awhile now. It's been very healthy for our family to take time out to do that once a week. Jason had mentioned to me that he wanted us to go and rent the movie Fireproof even though we both had seen it before and I thought that would be a great movie for FHE, not thinking anything else of it. He was acting a little bit secretive but nothing that gave too much away.

We watched the movie and of course it was very touching and I turn to him while the credits were going and asked him what was so secretive? He pulled out a large envelope and on top was a paper, he took my hand and then began to read the words. They were re-commitment vows so beautiful and personal that I wont be putting them on here, as the tears fell and as the words wrapped around me like words from heaven, I couldn't understand where this was all coming from and then he handed me the envelope, as I opened it I saw that it was the book "The Love Dare" and as I looked through it I had then realized that he had taken the 40 day journey of the Love Dare. It was such a beautiful and spiritual experience for me. I saw everything so clear afterwards.

I have felt God in my life and I have felt his love touch me, but this feeling took me so by surprise. I thought of the Love Dare when I first saw the movie fireproof and how great that would be to incorporate into our marriage, not really realizing that its a gift to help teach unconditional love, "Christ's love". I have never felt so loved in all my life, What an example my husband is to me, I have felt closer to my father in heaven this past month then I have in years. So grateful for Jason's prayers for me and his example. I am truly blessed to feel the love of Christ in my life and I'm so grateful for the peace it brings, I'm grateful to Jason for taking such a journey and for his unconditional love.

I put my favorite song on here from Fireproof Its called "love is not a fight" and I just want to write down my favorite part from the song, it is so touching!

It's was such a beautiful night and I'm so very grateful for the blessings that Heavenly Father continues to give me!

I am so so very HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY!!!! I can't say it enough I am so grateful for my weight loss progress. I got rid of the pregnancy weight!!! YAY!!!

It's been very hard on me being so over weight even if it was pregnancy weight!

After Ethan was born I felt and looked unrecognizable, I had gained 70 pounds with Ethan and I was so miserable with the way I looked after he was born that I decided to train for a half marathon to get the weight off. It took me 10 months but I did get the weigh off. It was a great experience but really rough running with so much weight baggage...lol

I gained 45 pounds with Noah not as much as it was with Ethan, but just as hard to deal with... When Jason became a cleansing coach and I saw his amazing results, he then coached my sister through a cleanse and I saw her amazing results, I knew I wanted to do the cleanse, I just wanted to be able to breastfeed for at least 6 months. I started the cleanse end of January and I was able to loose the weight in 5 weeks. I am so grateful for where I am and how I feel. Here's to living a healthy life! Living Cleansed:)

My sister Tiffany and my cutie pie niece Katie came to visit us for a week this last week. It was so lovely having them here. We had a week together to just hang out and spend time together. I already miss her and Ethan and Noah already miss Katie... Ethan keeps putting Katie in his prayers, and saying please bring her back, it's so sweet. We miss them All ready!!!

My BIRTHDAY was on Saturday Yay...I'm 27, actually I never thought that number would ever scare me, even though I know I'm still young and I have a lot to learn in this life. Its still scary thinking I'm only three years away from the big THREE-O. I know 30 is still young but, I just cant help but think how old I thought it was when I was 16 yrs old:)

I'm doing a cleanse right now and it is awesome and its been the best thing for me...I have lost 14 lbs so far and I'm very grateful.... Although it's been really hard making it through Valentines and my birthday with out eating everything I want... On my birthday I wanted to make all of my favorite foods even though I didn't eat them..lol. Not even a piece of cake, I just kept telling my self I'll have other birthdays so let THEM EAT CAKE... I was told it was yummy food though, Jason helped a lot in the kitchen.

I love chili's Southwestern Egg rolls and I decided to make them at home they are much easier then they look... If you haven't had them ether make them or make sure you go to chilies and try them.

I saved some CAKE and I've frozen it in hope of eating it in the future, we'll see how that goes... It was a pretty good day, I was pretty disappointed when my sister had to cancel on me, she was going to take Ethan over night but the kids were good and my mother watched them for a few hours for us, it all worked out fine, I loved being with Jason, He got the day off for me and he got me the book I wanted for my birthday and took me out to the movies...

Yes, we have finally moved in but we still our not fully settled... Moving is so crazy specially with little ones. We still have so much work to do on our home, but I love it I really do, so much more space it's so lovely. Here is the before and after of the kitchen, I'm only posting the kitchen's before&after because our house still isn't organized and the kitchen still isn't fully done yet ether, but here it is.

Also, I have started another blog about easy homemade food and recipe swapping, for those of you who love cooking, baking or just want some new ideas for family food. I LOVE cooking and baking its one of my favorite things to do, I truly believe its a labor of love and their is no greater way to show your love then by making yummy food for those you care about. I wanted to start a recipe swap blog, because you can never have enough recipes! I would love to share and swap recipes that make cooking/baking fun, easy and yummy! Yippee!!! WE'RE MOVING!!!

So we are finally packing up and moving on! It is so relieving, I can't say it enough. So much work has gone into this house and I'm just so glad to finally be moving in. Once we are in our new home we will still have work to do on the house, but its so close to being done. I have put some before and semi after pictures up. Once we are all moved in I will put up a ton.

It's like a brand new home in so many ways to us and the extra space is going to be amazing, I couldn't be more excited to move in!!! Thanks again to all those who have helped and all the support.

We went with our friends the Whitaker's to go see Santa and then we went and decorate a gingerbread house... It was a a lot of fun!

Ethan was so excited to see Santa Claus he was thinking really hard about all the things he wanted to ask for. He is so excited for Christmas this year, he keeps saying "Santa's coming"and "open presents soon". He'll pretend to be old saint Nick by putting on his Santa hat and saying "HO HO HO Mewy Cwistmas"...Its adorable! These were the only pictures we were able to get with Santa and then our camera died on us, but Noah actually grabbed Santa's beard it was the sweetest thing ever!Here is our gingerbread creation, it was a lot of fun. Ethan and his friend Tycen had fun decorating a tree and a snowman and after that we couldn't keep them interested. They loved nibbling on the candy though!

My sister came over to help Ethan and I make my yummy snowman cookies, Ethan had a blast making these cookies. We delivered this batch to Jason's fire crew to wish them a Merry Christmas!

IT'S BEGINNING TO LOOK A LOT LIKE CHRISTMAS!

I love this time of year, no other holiday can beat the feeling you get during this time.

One of my favorite things to do, is to decorate for the holidays and to bake yummy goodies, nothing brings warmth into a home like homemade cookies and hot cocoa.... Jason and I love going and getting a Christmas tree and decorating it, than making sugar cookies and having hot chocolate, naturally with marshmallow's.

This year was particularly fun because Ethan loved being apart of decorating the tree and cookies. It was such a blast to fill our home with the Christmas spirit!

This tree has been the smallest tree that Jason and I have gotten in the past six years and I have to say, so far it's been my favorite one. Just perfect for our little condo!

Ethan was so excited to cut out his cookies... Every time mommy did it, he kept saying "I try, I try". He was trying to ask me nicely to stop stealing his thunder.

Ethan just loves making cookies, it's one of his favorite activities... I guess it's because he knows they'll be in his tummy soon enough!

Little Noah just enjoying the night, chillin on the floor, he is growing so fast! Soon enough he'll be sharing hot cocoa and making cookies with us!

What does the word HERO mean!? By definition HERO means : One that shows great courage!
A hero can be even more than that.

Chuck Smartt, from Jason's fire department, started a program called "brother's in arms"... And their motto is honoring their brothers in LIFE by giving service!

We bought a home last month that needed way more than just a little maintenance pick-me-up. Jason has spent just about every minute of his off-time working on this house; and with two full-time jobs, full-time school, a family, and I hate to admit it but even a nagging wife from time to time.

He has accomplished so much on this house, almost entirely on his own. When he told me that help was coming from some men on his department my heart was filled with such gratitude. Most of these men also have more than one job and larger families and were still willing to take time out of their lives to come and help with the house. I know how relieving that has been on Jason, especially with finals going on at school this last week. I'm learning this very quickly; being the wife of a fire fighter and belonging to such an awesome department, that firefighter's are not just courageous, but selfless. Their strength and character is definitely not just in the name. I hope I can follow in their footsteps this holiday season.

I just want to send a thanks out to all those who have been so thoughtful in helping us with our home!

TEXAS TRIP!!!

I haven't blogged in forever...This season has already been so busy!!!

We just got back from Texas, we were out there visiting Jason's family this last week we went to celebrate an early Christmas and it was so wonderful... I actually got time with my husband it was amazing, it was so good to see his family it really felt like Christmas out there even though we celebrated with them early... We went to visit Jason's grandparents as well as his aunt, uncle and all the cousins. They had a special Christmas dinner for us we felt so pampered, especially me my mother-in-law took Noah through out the night for two nights...It was heaven, It was such a lovely trip!

TWILIGHT THE MOVIE!

GONNA BE HONEST HERE!

I will try not to give anything away from the movie!

I went to the midnight showing of Twilight last night with some of my girl friends, I went to the movie with the main thought in my mind that NO Hollywood movie has ever been able to be as good as the book and twilight is no different.

My thoughts on twilight: Over all it was a good movie.... Even though the book played out like a movie in my head. It was fun to see the book brought to life on the big screen for real.

I love who they chose for the characters... I know a lot of people didn't like Robert Pattinson playing the role of Edward but I think he's beautiful and I think they were able to capture the look of each character very well. The acting was sometimes cheesy and it's definitely difficult to get a 500+ page book into a two hour movie so it felt like a speed race. I have to say if the book wasn't so dang great I wouldn't complain about the movie at all... I was disapointed that there was one scene from the book that was not in the movie just because I love it so much....It's the biology blood lab scene, but they covered almost everything else!

Things to consider when you go see Twilight... No movie is ever as good as the book, most of the actors are fairly newbies so some acting was a little cheesy, the budget for this movie was really low and its difficult to get everything we would like to see from the book into a two hour movie.

Over all the movie was really quite good! It was filled with humor, action and romance. Some of the scenes were so flipping cute and I keep doing replays in my head...I'm actually going to take Jason next week... I hope I didn't give too much away it was definitely cute enough to go again while in theaters so that should say something! HAPPY VIEWING!!!

Milton Linford Dalley"Lin"Milton Linford Dalley, beloved husband, father, son and brother, returned to his Heavenly Father unexpectedly on Friday October 31st 2008.On a beautiful Sunday morning, Lin was born April 27th 1969 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Milton H. and Florence K. Englestead Dalley. Lin grew up in Bountiful and graduated from Woods Cross High school in 1987, where he was a member of the track team, football team, and was also a nominee to Boy's State. In 1988, he served a mission to Bilbao Spain for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. In 1991 Lin joined the Bountiful Fire Department, where soon after he was certified as a paramedic. Lin married Kristin Sherwood on September 9th 1994, and they were sealed in the Bountiful Temple on September 9th 1995.Lin later became a member of the Provo Fire Department in 1995 and also served with the Park City Rescue Unit for several years. While serving for the Provo Fire Department Lin was quickly promoted to the rank of Captain after being there only a short time.

He had recently tested 2nd in line for the Battalion Chief. Lin also worked at the Utah Valley hospital in the hyperbarics.Lin loved the outdoors and spending time with his family camping. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and always out-fished his family. He enjoyed wood working, traveling, and especially loved stopping by the gift shops for unique souvenirs. Lin was a talented cook and grill master. He loved cooking for his family and friends and especially his brothers at the fire department.Lin was a valiant servant in all aspects of his life. Not only did he save many lives as a member of the Provo Fire Department, he served his church, community and most of all his family. The devoted men who worked on Lin's crew at the fire department looked up to Lin and said that he lead by example, and as a friend. "He made a difference".He is survived by his wife Kristin and children: Kelsie Kay, Connor Jacob, Colton Linford, and Kaitlin Marie; parents Milton and Florence Dalley; brother and sister-in-law Mike and Mindie Dalley; sister and brother-in-law Amber and Tad McRae and sister and brother-in-law Denise and Aaron Pettley. He is also survived by Great Aunt Helen Seaman Linford, and 24 nieces and nephews. Twilight Series

Okay...I have been told from so many people left and right to read the Twilight series for over seven months now...Thinking whats the big deal with these books anyway and where the heck am I going to find the time to read them... We'll for those of you who have tried to get in touch with me these past three weeks and have had little sucess this is the reason why...I ended up falling in love with the series so much that I have started to re-read Twilight all over again as pathetic as that is...But at least I'm pacing my self this time taking it slow!!!:)

I read the 12 chapters that were leaked out on the internet of Midnight Sun... Stephenie Meyer says she has put the novel on hold indefinatly....Which I hate! But I wanted to see as much of Edwards side of the story as I could... Since she will no longer finish the novel, So I'm a cheater. I have to say if she ever does decided to publish it I would pay twice as much for it. I felt like the first twelve chapters were really amazing!

We are in the process of buying a home....And we couldn't be more excited we could really use the space it has six bedrooms:)It happens to be the house I grew up in so for being thirty years old its had a lot of wear and tare from the former occupants....It needs A LOT of work and A LOT of love and care but it will be beautiful when we are all done.... Jason has spent his days off over working on the house and as you can see he has already done SO much to it....I have helped out as much as I can but he is pretty much doing it all by him self and its looking amazing. Our first Halloween Party!!!

I love Halloween its one of my favorite holidays...I always love going all out with my costume and now that I have kids I just love dressing them up. This was the very first year that we have all gone as a theme though and it was so much fun. If you cant guess we all went as the star wars clan...

Jason was of course Darth vedar Ethan was Luke sky walker, Noah was R2- D2 and I was Princes Leia... I went with her slave girl hair style because I couldn't fully pull of the ear bun style this year....Every one knew who I was so I guess it didn't matter and yes I'm still a Blondie. Our friends hosted the Halloween party...It was so much fun they had a fear factor contest which Jason almost won, Ethan tried to bob for apples but got to scared and Jason won the chubby Bunnie contest, he got seven marshmallows in his mouth it was impressive.
We had a lot of fun at our first party for the month, we have two more parties to go and of course trick or treating! Next year we are definitely going to host a Halloween party.... I think we might host a dinner mystery party here in February though for my birthday! I think it would be so much fun!

Wow...Its been a couple of crazy weeks!

My whole family went out to California for my sisters baby girls baby blessing and It was a crazy trip... But It was so wonderful to see my sister Tiffany and to finally meet my cutie pie niece... Tiffany definitely had her hands full with the whole family out there for the weekend and she was still willing to take care of my two boys for me for one of the nights so Jason and I could go and celebrate our anniversary! She is honestly the best sister ever, I love you Tiff you are the best, thank you so much!

Our road trip got kind of rough with two little ones but not all bad, I was really ready for a road trip! I think we all had fun!

WOW...Its our fifth year anniversary, I can not even believe how the time has just flown by in so many ways...I have put together just a FEW pictures of our relationship for the past 9 years. With in these last 9 years we have had some very trying moments in our life which Jason will concur to.

Looking back on these nine years, I get tempted to write a novel of our love story but I'm definitely not the writer in the family.

I remember the first time I met Jason, I saw a few pictures of him first off and of course my sister couldn't stop telling me how good looking he was before I met him... I will never forget her telling me how much he looks like a GQ model and he really does. I will never forget the first time I saw him, he was looking so good standing in the door way of some sunset light he was wearing a white and tan button down shirt with it unbutton just enough to see the white t-shirt underneath...wahoo. The first time we met was pretty awkward though, we had spoken a few times on the phone and it seems like neither of us could stop talking when we were on the phone but when he showed up for dinner one night with his two younger brothers and my family around, I totally became shy for the first time ever. So the first date was a little awkward, on our second date he took me out to eat and to a movie which was a lot of fun and because he didn't call me on the third day I ended up missing him so much, first guy to ever play hard to get with me..lol. So by the third date we had our first kiss and that sealed the deal.

We had thirty days before he left for boot camp but that was enough time to make us want a life time together. We've had a long distant relationship through out the four years of him traveling in the Marines to: San Diego, Virginia, Arizona, Nevada, Japan, Kuwait and Iraq....Wow just writing it out I cant believe we made it through it all and I bet I missed a few.

This year for our anniversary we are going to read over as many of our love letters as we can...It will be like reading three books each...:)

Five years of marriage and still going strong, I feel so blessed for my wonderful husband and for what an amazing man he is, I can't say it enough he truly is my HERO. I am so grateful for our two precious angels, our son's are two of the best things we've ever done. I want my husband to know how much I love him and even though we have had mountains to climb in our 9 years together we have truly pressed through it harder and stronger, we're iron baby!!! Ethan's First Day Of Preschool!

Ethan started preschool on Monday and I can't believe it. It was hard for me to let him go in so many ways but he is loving it and getting so much out of it as well. I think my biggest concern was letting him ride a school bus to and from school with out me. Today was his first day on the bus and he loved it and I felt a lot more comfortable meeting the drivers. Their are no kid older then 4years old that ride the bus and they have 1 to 2 Ta's to take care of the kids and he has a seat belt harness that he's in... All these things have made me calm down a little bit, but it sure is hard to let go. He is all smiles when he goes to school and he's all smiles when he comes home, I know he is getting so much from it already, he just loves it.

I am so blessed to have two perfect children! They are already best friends in so many ways, today I dropped Noah off at my mothers house for just a little while and I took Ethan with me to the store and he was so sad that Noah wasn't coming with us. He kept saying "Noah, Noah where's Noah". I actually almost started crying, must be those hormones I'm coming down off of. Anyway it's so sweet to see Ethan with Noah, he is so soft and gentle with him and with most kids you have to tell them to be soft over and over again.

Just For Fun!!!

I have had so many people tell me in the last month how much Ethan looks like the little boy who plays Ray off of "Jerry Maguire"... I remember watching Jerry Maguire for the first time years ago thinking "oh my gosh that kid is so cute, I hope my little boy looks as cute"... Well since I've had so many people comment on how much they look alike I decide to take a picture of Ethan wearing Jason's old glasses and post it.... I also thought It would be fun to see what Ethan may look like when he gets older... Hence the pictures of Jonathan lipnicki in 2007... It's always so much fun to envision what your kids might look like when they get older!

It's crazy because my sister called me up one night telling me that she thought the kid from Jerry Maguire looks like Jason now that he's all grown up and I can definitely see similarities, So who knows this could be how Ethan will look one day but of course I think he'll be even more handsome...He's definitely his fathers son.

BIRTHDAY FUN!!!

WOW...Ethan Is 3 years old!!!

I can't believe it! How the time flies, Ethan's birthday was on Friday the 22nd of August. In a way it feels like just yesterday I was bringing him home from the hospital and figuring out how to be a new mommy.

Ethan is such a sweet little spirit, I can't believe Heavenly father has in trusted me with this little angel. How he has changed my life, it is so beautiful to know what my purpose in life is. I don't think I ever truly understood how being a mother was going to be the most difficult thing ever and the most amazingly rewarding thing I will ever do in my life. Ethan is so very precious to me and just so perfect. I thank God for him every day.

We had a birthday party for Ethan on Saturday and we all had a blast!

I decided to make my very first birthday cake for Ethan...I bought cakes for his last two birthdays and lots of people had complaints about the taste. So I decided I would finally make one this year and I always wanted to be the kind of mother that made really cute birthday cake's for her kids. I just didn't think I'd be able to do it.... But I went ahead and tried and to my amazement it turned out better then even I thought it would! So this year was Ethan's very first homemade birthday cake and everyone loved it. I was so happy about that! I decided to go with a frog theme and I made cupcakes with sugar cookies as the Lilly pads and froggie eyes popping up out of the water. Anyway it was fun to make and I'm glad that Ethan loved it and everyone loved the taste!

Ethan loves blowing out candles, so this year was so much fun for him....He of course got the very first piece of birthday cake!

Well, there is the fruit punch I was talking about....lol. He loved opening his gifts everyone brought really nice gifts...Ethan got so excited about opening a card he received.

My good friend Gina got him the toy laptop and he just loves it so much that when we brought out his new bike he barely noticed it....I think he will grow into it!

We had a bouncer castle that we bought for Ethan's party last year and the kids just loved it so we pulled it out again this year we had the pools out with spray guns and water balloons... It was a lot of fun. After Ethan's birthday we went to Jason's work party which was another pool party so Ethan really was able to enjoy a lot of sun . It was a wonderful day!

POTTY TRAINING

I have started to potty train Ethan again, we started training when he was 2 and he was doing so good and then he just decided to stop for some reason. We were trying to get him to sleep in the big boy bed and with the new baby coming the doctor said it could be too much all at once for him. But we are starting it up again and so far he's doing pretty good, I'm trying to make it fun for him by giving him a sticker every time he goes potty on the potty and once he fills up a row of box's he gets a treat. We will see how things progress, gosh they grow so fast and this part is pretty difficult. I am allowing him to ware big boy underwear half the day and I let him run around naked as well to try and persuade him to go on the potty...Yes...we're having lost of accidents... I would love to get some advice on anything else I could be doing to make this transition easier.

Any Advice is helpful...lol!

WHAT A SPECIAL DAY FOR US!

Noah just turned 5 weeks old and I can not believe how time is just flying. The baby blessing was today and it was just beautiful. Jason gave Noah an incredible blessing, his word were so profound! Its so wonderful to here those blessings on our little ones. It was a really important day to me, its not every day you get to see your husband give your child a blessing as sweet as that! We had a small luncheon afterward and it was so lovely to celebrate with our good friends and family.

DAY ZERO - 7/25/2008

So, I've decided to do a body cleanse, and I'm starting the 26th of July 2008! Some people may wonder why a guy like me would choose to do a cleanse, as most people do something like this to lose a lot of weight. I'm not someone who needs to lose a lot of weight, though dropping a few pounds would be nice, and I am hoping to achieve that goal. The purpose of cleansing though is actually to remove a lot of harmful toxins from the body that have accumulated throughout your lifetime from various sources in the air we breathe, water we drink, and food we eat, among other sources. That is the real purpose of cleansing; to detoxify our bodies and take control of our health and wellness. However, it does have the amazing, positive, side effects of weight loss (sometimes massive), and an amazing boost of energy that lasts all day without the spikes and falls that you experience from caffeine or other stimulants like ma huang or ephedra, and other things.

Most diets don't work for people in the long run because they don't rid the body of the harmful toxins; they only burn off the fat. The fat, however, that many of us gain is put there by our bodies to store those toxins away in order to protect our bodies against them. That's why most people re-gain the weight they lost from some fad diet, but with cleansing our system and de-toxifying ourselves of these impurities regularly, the body doesn't find that need to pack the fat back on!

I've done some research on cleansing and talked to a few people in the cleansing business to find out what would be the benefits of a guy like me doing a cleanse, and which type of cleanse I should participate in. I was introduced to the Isagenix Cleansing & fat burning system by a close friend of mine and have decided I'm going to give it a try! It is a colon, liver, kidney, blood, and lymphatic system cleanse with no harsh stimulants. Unlike a lot of cleanses...it cleanses the whole body, not just the colon or one other system. They have different packages or systems that you can do. For example, there is a 30-day kit and a 9-day kit. Because I'm slightly skeptic about it in the first place, and because I don't feel like I need a 30-day cleanse, I will be doing the 9-day cleanse.

What I am hoping will happen during this process is first and foremost to regain back the energy I had when I was twenty years old. I'd also like to lose 5 pounds or more if possible, and an inch or so off my waist.So, it's not a "diet" in the contemporary sense of the word, because I'm not doing this specifically to lose a lot of weight. And it's definately not a "fad diet" either. However, it is a diet in the sense that I'm taking control of what I put in my body, what I'm hoping to rid my body of, and because I'm doing something that promotes my overall health and well-being. I will update this blog on a day by day basis, writing about how I feel, how the product's taste, what they cost, how much I weigh, my waist size measurements, body fat percentages, how much energy I do or don't have, what kind of food cravings I've had, and any other aspect imaginable during the cleanse. DAY THREE - 7/28/2008

So, I finished my first two days which were Pre-Cleanse days...I got home from work early this morning and weighed and mesaured myself. HOLY COW!!! I've lost 7 pounds and 1.5" off my waist!! This is crazy. I sure did not expect that. I feel energized and surprisingly I have had NO hunger cravings at all...I'm not starving! This is really cool, and I'm feeling this way without any caffeine, red bull, rockstar, or any other stimulants!! The only hard thing for me is that my brain wants to chew more food. When people eat around me...I want to eat too because that's been my habit for years, but it's not because I'm hungry...so that makes it easy to resist. Now I'm on my actual cleanse days for today and tommorrow and will report more then!______________________________________________________________

DAY FIVE - 7/30/2008

RESULTS: WOW!!! So, the last two days were my actual "cleanse" days and I just weighed myself this morning on day 5. Wondering my results? Good, because I'm so excited to share that I've now lost a total of 10 lbs and 2" off my waist and 3.5" off my gut area by measuring at the belly button around my body. All this in ONLY FOUR DAYS!! This is amazing, and I feel amazing. I'm so shocked. My original expectation was to lose about 4 to 5 pounds, but now I've done double that! HA HA. I can't help but be excited about this.

CHALLENGES: So, how about the products? Well, I'll be honest...I'm very excited to be back to my "shake" days now because the cleanse days were a little bit more trying than the shake days. When I'm on shake days I feel more energy and I also feel like I have more substance in my body. Now, I was NEVER "hungry" and never felt like I was starving, on cleanse or shake days, and I wouldn't say either of them are "hard" but the shake days are a little bit easier than cleanse days. I've just had 28 years of habit of always having substance in my stomach and GI tract, that it's almost a hard habit to break.

TASTE: The products are not gross, they are not bad, they are not disgusting. The products on my shake days are chocolate flavored, and are very good. They are like any other protein shake on the market as far as flavor goes, but I'd say they are even a little bit better tasting and easier to consume. The Whey protein in the IsaShakes is the highest grade protein you can find in the world. It comes only from Australia and New Zealand because it comes from only organically fed cows versus our chemically and hormonally raised cows here in the States. The energy I feel is amazing, the weight I've released shocks me, the fact that I'm never starving on this cleanse just excites me so much!I'll keep reporting more as the cleanse continues. FINAL RESULTS!! - 8/6/2008

Okay everyone, here it is. I just finished my Isagenix 11 day cleanse and I've lost a total of 14.5 pounds, 2" off my waist, 3.5" off my gut, and 2% body fat!! AMAZING!!

I feel AMAZING! I've gone from a size 36 to a 34 and it feels so cool to be able to pull my belt loops that much further and I can see abdominal muscles that I knew were there before but couldn't see! Okay...Its been awhile since I blogged so this is long!!!

OUR NOAH IS 3 WEEKS OLD

HERE ARE A FEW PICTURE'S OF THE FIRST 3 WEEKS OF NOAH'S LIFE!

These past few weeks have been a little hectic trying to figure out how to balance two little one's has been trying, but its been so wonderful and really so much easier than I thought it would be.

Little Noah has already grown so much I can't believe it. I want to soak up every minute with him being so tiny I know how fast they grow.

Jason has been working so hard for all of us, he has been so amazing. He will go to work for a 48 hour shift and then come home and take care of me and the boy's. He is such a wonderful husband and father. Its been an adjustment for all of us, but he just loves being the daddy of two.

Noah at two weeks old. Sleeping during the day and staying awake at night is his favorite thing to do!

Ethan has been loving Noah so much, he will constantly check on Noah and give him kisses. Anytime Noah starts to cry Ethan will say SHH SHH....at times he will get fed up and say HUSH! He loves him so much though. It has been an adjustment for Ethan though he has been more defiant and he's been testing out how to push my button's, the first week was the most difficult with that. He has calmed down though and I try and get my special time with Ethan so he knows he is so loved.

JASON PARAMEDIC GRADUATION!

HOORAY!!! HOORAY!!! Jason graduated on the 25Th of July and we are so proud of him!

FAMILY IN TOWN!!!!

Jason's Mom and Dad have been in town and its been so very wonderful to have them here! They have helped out so so much with everything and its given me a wonderful break.

Its been a crazy few weeks but so wonderful at the same time and I just love being a mommy its the best job in the world. I feel so blessed to have such a wonderful family.

FINALLY WE HAD OUR LITTLE ANGEL!

Well, Noah decided not to arrive on the 4Th of July but he finally said okay to the 5Th, I still will think of him as our little Yankee doodle dandy, he's beyond precious! Noah Preston Wassom was born at 9:41pm and his weight was 8lb 15oz 20.5 inch long and he is perfect!
Jason and I woke up on Saturday the 5TH of July determined we were going to have our baby that day, but we wanted me to go naturally. We went walking around the block more then a few time's, I swung on a swing, we went to the mall, I even tried to jog just a little bit! We were finally able to go to the hospital about 4pm and at 5:30pm I was dilated to a 5. When I saw my doctor I told him I hated him...lol. He looked at me and said "why do you hate me you should be hating your husband"...lol. I was in so much pain I felt like I was hating everyone. when the doctor broke my water I went from a five to an eight in an hour and I had to make up my mind if I wanted the epidural or not, I decide to get it and I'm so glad I did. I was able to enjoy the last two hours of his birth. I really loved my experience this time around, it was wonderful. I had the best nurse ever she really made my experience awesome. She even got me a gift basket afterwards. She was great!

4TH OF JULY!!!

WOW WHAT A DAY/S!

We celebrated the 4Th of July on the 3rd and the 4Th... On the 3rd of July we had a barbecue with the family and enjoyed food, family and fireworks. I made this yummy dessert pizza for the fam. Ethan was loving the popper snaps, he couldn't get enough of them.
Loving any kind of goody he can get his hands on to, he was enjoying the frosting from a cupcake.
Fireworks...always so much fun! Ethan did really well at first then the fireworks got really noisy and he was pretty scared by the end of it all! lol. He didn't want to try a sparkler this year maybe next year.

Enjoying the 4Th of July parade at 8am in the morning, it was all ready so hot I swear you could have fried an egg on the sidewalk. Jason was in the parade, he was dressed up as a dalmatian firefighter dog. It was so fun to see him in the parade!

I ended up having major contraction and feeling really dehydrated, after the parade my family and I started to walk back to the car and as I was pushing our stroller I ended up fainting. They called the paramedics and they rushed right over. They all new Jason and asked if I was his wife, they rushed me to the hospital and I ended up being dilated to a 4. My contractions didn't fully progress so they finally sent us home. It was an eventful 4TH of July.

ETHAN'S SCHOOL BBQ!

We went to Ethan's school's BBQ on Friday and had such a blast. It was a beautiful hot day, They had hamburgers, hot dogs, snow cones and cotton candy. Ethan of course loved all the sweets.

The Provo fire department came to the party and created a nice water park for all the kids and handed out fire hats. It was awesome! Jason tried to get Ethan to enjoy all the water but as you can see he freaked out when Jason suggested to go back in, I guess once was enough for him. It was funny to see because he just loves being in the water but I was told that it was freezing water, I was too chicken to find out for my self!

Anyway, It was a great BBQ and we all had a lot of fun... I really do love his school!

BABY UPDATE!!!

BIG...BIG...BIG...

Yes....38 1/2 week Pregnant and with just 12 days to go I am trying everything to bring on natural labor and it doesn't look like its going to happen early for me. I had a major energy burst today I don't know where it came from but I was able to do so much and still felt like I could do more.... I read that having a burst of energy is a good sign that labor is around the corner.

Jason took these pictures of me today and I was freaking out when I saw them. I feel like my belly looks like snoopy or some crazy looking snow

cone. I can't even express how anxious I am to go into labor even though I know that after the baby comes I'll be sleep deprived, a human spit-up rag and a diaper changing machine. But I am still looking forward to the bonding time! The 4Th of July is

next week and I'm hoping to enjoy all the festivities, but we will see if the baby wants to come out before then or not.

I can tell Ethan is getting supper excited about having a little brother around, he was holding my friends baby boy today and anytime she went to try and help or pick him up. Ethan was like "no...no" once the baby started to fuss a little bit he would say "shh shh". Once the baby started to cry Ethan was almost yelling "hush hush". To cute for words, he just did not want to put her baby down. I think he is going to be so fun to watch with his little brother!

I have set a date for the doctor to at least strip my membranes hoping that it will help with putting me into labor naturally. I really don't want to have to be induced at all. The doctor wasn't even willing to strip my membranes any earlier then the 7Th mainly because of the holiday. Anyway, 1 1/2 weeks to go, no matter when it happens we are praying for a safe and healthy delivery.

Happy Fathers DAY!!!

One of the most special moments in my life was having
my dad at my wedding and sharing our daddy and daughter dance. He was so supportive of me and of my choice to marry and I truly felt the love he had for me. I guess I'll always be his
little girl!

Seeing my husband as a Father and holding his newborn baby for the very first time will be a beautiful image in my mind that I will never forget. He is an amazing Dad and I couldn't have chosen a better partner to raise my children with! I love how he is so much a part of his son's life!

Week 37!

On Sunday I will be 37 weeks and ever so anxious to meet our little one.

How I'm feeling: Well if you've ever been pregnant I probably don't even have to explain. I'm constantly tired and feeling huge every minute, I cant see my own feet when I stand up anymore and I can barley move from one place to another with out breaking a sweat. Although Ethan keeps me so active that I feel like I'm constantly working out but not reaping the body benefits.lol. Not much longer to go though, I go into see my doctor every week starting this next week and I have my hospital bag packed and ready to go. Trying to prepare my self in every way for our little Noah !

Ethan has been so adorable, I love him so much! He has been doing the sweetest thing lately.

I have been having A LOT of braxton hicks of course and every time I have one I will start to rub my belly. Ethan has started to come up to me and say "whats wrong, whats wrong" and comes over and softly rubs my belly with me and then he will say "okay"?! Its just too adorable!

Ethan was able to hold a baby girl for the first time this last Wednesday and I almost broke down crying it was so sweet to see, he just gazed at this little baby in such wonder and he kept holding out his arms to hold her over and over again. It was just so sweet to watch my little one be so loving . I know he's going to just love his little brother!

PROVO CITY FIRE DEPARTMENT!!!

MY HERO!

Jason was offered a position with Provo Fire department today and we couldn't be more excited with the good news. Its been a long road waiting to get on the department. I am so proud of my hubby he is truly my personal hero but now he's a full-time hero for the city! He starts on June 30Th and he graduates with his third associates as a paramedic on July 25Th. He will have two more semesters left for his bachelor's.
This position couldn't have come at a better time with the second baby on the way its a wonderful piece of mind! I am so very grateful for all of Jason's hard work, he never stops! WE are also so grateful to our Heavenly Father for such a wonderful blessing!

FIRST DAY AT SCHOOL!

Ethan's first day at school, I have enrolled him in an early education program. He goes to school two days a week in a structured environment for an hour. They work on language skills, they have music time, story time, snack time, play time. Its like a Minnie preschool to help him prepare. He had a bit of a hard time his first day but as you can see he had a blast as well.

After school we went to the pool and Ethan was so cute. We had to get out of the water for a safety inspection for 15 minutes and Ethan was not happy about that. He kept saying"lets go" with his frustrated face and voice.

Family Time At "This Is The Place Heritage Park"

Saturday was a wonderful day!

We we're able to spend family time together, we decide to go to Heritage Park; which neither of us had been to. It was really a fun place and a great place to take Ethan. They have fun activity's and with each spot you visit you get a little bit of the history, which is my favorite part. Everyone is dressed in 18Th century clothing and treated us like we were they're neighbors. It was a lot of fun. Jason doesn't get too many day's off where we can go and do something special. The day was lovely! The only thing I must say was difficult is the fact that I'm about to pop this baby out in 4weeks and I was definitely feeling it. So if I look exhausted in the pictures its because I am!

Some of the working pioneer staff kept telling me I was crazy to be this far along and willing to get out of the house in the heat and with all the walking you have to do there. lol. I am hoping to have this baby a couple weeks early or at least right on time, I felt like this was just what I needed! The day couldn't have been sweeter!

Tribute to the Missionary who baptized Jason!

Jason was baptized on May 7Th, 2000. Eight years ago! It has been such an amazing blessing in our lives to have the gospel. He was baptized by Elder. Sean Escobar(left) in Virginia during the Marine Corps. I was not able to be there but seeing this picture, I always felt like I was there. Jason and Elder Draper(right) made fun of Elder Escobar's ankle riding whites that day. lol.

I know this amazing moment in Jason's life was truly a magnificent one. My husband has been such a great example to me through out our marriage. I love how spiritual he is.

Jason just recently got in touch with Sean Escobar, we found out that he lives here in Utah. We got together with him and his family for dinner a few weeks ago and it was such a spiritual inspiration to me to meet the man that taught my husband the gospel and baptized him. As we were driving up to his home I was thinking to my self does this man have any idea what he has done for our family, It must be an amazing feeling to have help give someone the gospel and see how blessed they're lives turned out. I just kept thinking over and over again how wonderful that would be to see what an impact you made in someones life like that.

As I met Sean and shook his hand I felt so indebted to him but most of all so very grateful for his service to the Lord.
I was able to marry a wonderful man in the temple and start our family with him, a family that I am happy to say will receive the gospel, I am eternally grateful for the way our Father in Heaven works his plan.

We had a wonderful time at dinner that night, Sean has been married to his wife Crystal for almost four years and they have a little girl Ethan's age. It truly was a wonderful experience for me.

FIRE TESTING
Quick UPDATE: 5/28/08 – Orem’s interview went great! Directly after the interview Jason was sent to another room where he was handed a large packet that started out with "Conditional Offer of Employment." So, he would have to pass a background check, medical exam, psychological exam, a polygraph exam, and also finish Paramedic school...but if he does all of those things, which will be easy for him, he will be given a job!
Provo’s testing went really good as well. He is going back for a chief’s interview on June 3rd. We are so excited about this one this is the department we want him to work for. He ranked #3 on there list out of 40 people, so I think he has a incredible chance to get it!

I am posting some of my maternity photos that we took when I was about 30 weeks. It was very important to me to get maternity photo's with this little one, because I didn't really take any with Ethan and I always wished I had....

These pictures are really artistic and also pretty intament, so I would have to say I am feeling a little shy about posting them, but this is mainly to show my friends and family. I think they turned out great so I'll get over it!

I needed something that was going to make me feel beautiful to some degree while I have been pregnant, because Heaven knows its hard to feel beautiful when feeling you look like a cow...lol.

Ethan has been so very adorable with my belly lately. I don't think he fully understands there is a little baby in there but he will just hug my belly and give it kisses and loves its adorable to see.

Jason never forgets to give us all kisses goodbye when he leaves for work or school, I love seeing how he bonds with our new little one even though he's still in the womb, he'll talk and sing to him, try and listen to his heart beat, embraces my belly with tons of kisses for him and being patient enough to wait while the baby kicks. Its been so sweet!

Well, we have had a lot of people ask if we have settled on a name for this sweet little baby and I am happy to say that we have...I know some people really do not like it but Jason and I love it and we actually agreed on a name finally which was so amazing.

We are going with "NOAH PRESTON ". Preston is actually a very common name to use in my family its my dad's middle name and it seems like my whole family has use it in some way, but we love it. So if any of you don't like the name lie to us and tell us you do...lol

I am 34 weeks and I'm feeling like I'm 9o weeks.lol. I was having contractions to the point of going to the hospital tonight, but my doctor told me it was braxton hicks, they let down about an hour later, its funny how even with your second child you don't fully know when labor is going to hit..... I was very grateful to hear it was just braxton hicks though I want to keep the baby in the oven at least another 3 to 4 weeks.

We've been waiting a long time!

Jason will be getting on a department full-time for sure with in the next few months and we are so very excited!

Provo City Fire. February 2008. Jason turned in his application with resume and everything necessary to get on the testing list. The test was on May 20th. You have to be a Paramedic or Paramedic student in order to test. This is the department he’d really like to work for the most because we live in Utah County and love it here! UPDATE: 5/22/08 - He completed the written test on 5/20 which was a civil service/ fire test with a Paramedic supplemental test total of 130 questions. He passed that and took the CPAT which he finished in 7:53. You have to do it in 10:20, so he did pretty good on that. The 22nd, he had his oral board interview which he felt went ok. There were five guys on the board from Chief to Firefighter. I will hear back in about a week or so!

Orem Fire Department. The written test was May 12th, 2008 and the physical test immediately followed. He also had his oral board interview on May 12th. The written was 50 questions, 1/2 was fire related and 1/2 was paramedic related. He finished in 20 minutes. The physical consisted of having to do 35 sit-ups in one minute, 25 push-ups without a time limit, bench press 75% of my body weight, vertical jump of 16", and a 1 1/2 mile run in under 15 minutes. He passed all that of course. The "combat challenge" skills test was May 13th and was pretty intense, but he did quite well and feels pretty good over all. We will be hearing from them soon about his ranking in comparison to the other candidates as well as the opportunity for an interview with the Chief. Orem would be a great department to work for. The are a "Public Safety" department, so you have the opportunity to cross-train as a Police Officer, as well as being a SWAT medic, which he would love. UPDATE: 5/22/08 - my Chief interview is tomorrow! He got a Conditional offer of employment with Orem that just means if the back ground comes back clean (which it will) then he’ll get the position, He did awesome on his interview! So very proud of him!

Ethan and I just got back from California visiting my sister who is pregnant as well. We had an awesome trip out there and I know Ethan just loved it. He really missed his daddy though. It was good to get away before the baby comes, heaven knows I wont be getting away for sometime once he is here. My sister and I were able to just hang out and not have to worry about all the little things it was great!
